Your business data stays with you
Alpha stores your business data - sales, purchases, stock, customers, suppliers, patients and accounts - in a private database on your own computer. We do not receive, upload or store it.
What Alpha may send over the internet
- Updates and licence checks: the version number and an installation code, to find new versions and confirm your licence.
- Problem reports (Alpha Guardian): when Alpha meets a problem it cannot fix by itself, it sends a short technical report - the kind of problem, where in the program it happened, the version and an installation code - with names, numbers and amounts removed. The shop owner can switch this off in Settings > Report a Problem.
- Free trial started: when you start the free trial, Alpha tells us the version, the kind of business, the country and an installation code - nothing personal. Only if you type a WhatsApp number for free set-up help do we also receive that number, your shop's name, your city and your name, and we use them only to help you.
- Plan requests: when the shop owner presses "Request this plan", Alpha sends us the plan, its price, the installation ID, the shop's name, its phone number and the owner's name, so we can contact you and make your licence code.
- Optional features you switch on yourself: e-mailed reports, owner alerts on Telegram or WhatsApp, backup copies to a cloud folder of your own, and FBR invoice reporting in Pakistan. These send only what each feature needs, to the service you chose.
This website
When you use the contact form we receive what you type (name, phone, business, city and message) and use it only to reply to you. The website does not use advertising trackers or cookies. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or identify you. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
Your customers' personal data
For the personal data of your own customers you are responsible as the business that collects it. Alpha gives you the tools to export or erase a customer's personal details when they ask.
